Jesus' Prayer in Gethsemane Followed by His Arrest

Text:
Mark 14:32-52 (optional reading - Matthew 26:30, 35-56, Luke 22:39-53, John 18:1-11)

According To The Dictionary:
1. The time of these events was on Thursday night (the beginning of the Jewish Friday) before Jesus' death on Friday.
2. Gethsemane - was a garden, possibly an olive orchard, one-half mile south of Jerusalem and located at the foot of the Mount of Olives.
3. The cup was a common expression used to show an individual's appointed lot or fortune.
4. Kissing was a common way of greeting between men.
